THE ANIMAL THAT - THEREFORE - I AM
“The animal that therefore I am” is a series of portraits of stuffed animals that takes its name from a work of french philosopher Jacques Derrida. This project, started on 2015 and still-ongoing, focuses on dead animals composed as if they were alive, and strives to explore where life and death blend, where truth confuse with fiction.
It is a project about looking at oneself in the mirror to see what is behind. It is about time and memories; about what was once and that is no longer.
